Support Us

Interactive Cybernetics is interested in exploring relationships with sponsors or other developers willing to provide assistance in achieving our mission (See our “Mission Statement” page). This could be (in decreasing order of importance) moral support, product development support, collaborative support, or financial support.

The specific areas of support which would accelerate the REX development are listed below (although this is not an exhaustive list).

Demonstrations of the current REX models can be arranged for interested parties. Contact us using the information on the “Contact Us” page.

What we need Short Term

Help from developers who have implemented software for efficient small vocabulary speaker-independent word recognition.

Help from developers who have implemented speech generation software. We are currently using the CMU phoneme dictionary to generate common-clock lip sync motion and sound commands for prerecorded phrases. We have built a scripting language which extends JSML to control tempo, emphasis, emotion display, and body movements with vocalized text.

What we need Medium Term

Help from developers who have implemented software for efficient large vocabulary speaker-independent word recognition.

Help from developers who have implemented natural language query response systems.

What we need Long Term

Help from developers who have similar goals and have worked on or have knowledge of systems for intelligent machine interaction.

You can now interact with REX on-line
REX 6 appeared at the Relational Bus Systems (RBS) booth for the Motor Coach 2007 show in New Orleans January 17-19. The show was used as an educational experience for the REX developers. By observing REX interaction with the show attendees, we will further enhance REX abilities. You can see the new video of REX 6 on the demos page.
