Walter Buist, Chief Scientist
In addition to his work as Chief Scientist
at SoundView Technology Group, Mr. Buist has worked on major trading
system projects for both the New York and Chicago Stock Exchanges.
For his work on trading systems developed
at Wit Capital, Mr. Buist was awarded patent 6,408,282, "System
and Method for Conducting Securities Transactions Over a Computer
Network".
He has provided brokerage back office
systems to Carl Icahn, J.J. Kenney, and others, and developed the
original shareholder accounting system used by the Sentinel Funds
group of mutual funds now managed by National Life of Vermont.
In his years as a developer of systems software, Mr.
Buist authored the operating system for the WH11 computers distributed
by the Heathkit division of Schlumberger, authored the commercial
operating system packaged with the IBM Instruments 9000 computer,
was a consultant to National Semiconductor in the development of
their clone of the Digital Equipment PDP 11 computer, and was a
consultant to the Artelonics division of Shell Oil in their investigation
of the Digital Research MPM operating system.
Mr. Buist was a project leader for IBM
in the development of the United Parcel Service system for simulating
and operating all package processing hubs in the U.S.

Chris has worked on the institutional
trading system used by the Chicago Stock Exchange, and the back
office system used by Carl Icahn.
He was also a senior developer for the
Internet investment bank Wit Capital, the institutional research
company Soundview Technology Group, and the financial products firm
Gloal Trade.
Since joining Interactive Cybernetics,
he has produced the designs, prototypes, and working models for
all REX machines.
Chris is always working on improving
the REX design and producing the next generation of the REX family.

You can now interact with REX on-line REX 6 appeared at the Relational Bus Systems (RBS) booth for the Motor Coach 2007 show in New Orleans January 17-19. The show was used as an educational experience for the REX developers. By observing REX interaction with the show attendees, we will further enhance REX abilities.
